This includes the development of an in-house AI facial recognition security product for KYC verification that aims to improve account security significantly. About The Team
You will be part of the Identity & Security team, responsible for a critical aspect of user interaction with the platform. This team handles all elements from social login and OAuth to multi-factor authentication and account management. Your contributions will have a direct impact on identity verification experiences and account security for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the login, registration, and account security applications across web and mobile clients.
• Build the in-house AI facial recognition security product end to end, covering KYC verification, liveness detection, and face matching.
• Develop comprehensive authentication capabilities including passkeys, FIDO2 (WebAuthn), authenticator apps, security keys, SMS and email verification, and biometric flows.
• Own and refine the multi-factor authentication orchestration layer, balancing security strength with user experience.
• Collaborate with the AI algorithm team to incorporate facial recognition and other AI-powered features into the product.
• Maintain and improve shared security component libraries and SDKs for cross-team utilization.
• Develop and manage the Node.js server-side layer, focusing on performance and session validation.
• Create the BFF layer for aggregating security services and translating error responses into actionable insights for users.
• Implement specific behaviors for web, mini programs, and low-end devices while maintaining code separations.
• Ensure high engineering quality through unit testing, instrumentation, and observability practices.
• Utilize data analysis to optimize login and verification workflows, driving improvements based on evidence.
• Collaborate across teams including product, design, risk management, and customer support to independently deliver on critical sub-domains of the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 3–8 years of frontend or full stack engineering experience, with a focus on consumer-facing products.
• Strong foundational skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and web performance optimization.
• Deep expertise in React 18+ and TypeScript, including state management and complex form orchestration.
• Experience with Node.js, server-side rendering, API design, and the troubleshooting of runtime issues.
• Methodical approach to modeling complex authentication flows for usability and testability.
• Strong engineering practices such as modular design, testing, and CI/CD.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools and their practical application in daily tasks.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities for resolving performance and compatibility issues.
• Fluency in Mandarin is required; additional languages are a plus.
