Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and sockets on existing systems.
- Extend existing backends with new scalable and secure features in the form of APIs and socket topics.
- Implement security measures into the backend.
- Ensure existing and new backend features perform well and are of high quality.
- Identify bugs, security vulnerabilities, or bottlenecks in backend systems.
- Collaborate with teams and engineers to implement new features.
- Write high-quality code while following best practices.
- Maintain and improve communication with the database as well as with other software components via web sockets.
- Extend database architecture efficiently when needed.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in backend languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Python (appreciated).
- Experience with Node.js, NestJs, ExpressJs, and TypeORM; Spring Boot (Java) or Django (Python) is a plus.
- Database management system experience (MongoDB, Redis Cache); knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL is appreciated.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and expertise with REST APIs and WebSockets (Socket.IO).
- Experience with WebRTC is appreciated.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Medium knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose is good.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with robot-to-web communication is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
