Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to translate business and technical requirements into robust, scalable application designs that support mission‑critical aviation systems.
  • Develop high‑quality, secure, and efficient code, delivering low‑level technical solutions for small to medium‑sized initiatives within the company Group IT.
  • Apply coding best practices and the company Group engineering standards to build reliable software components that meet performance, security, and compliance expectations.
  • Take ownership of code quality, ensuring comprehensive unit test coverage and seamless integration into the CI/CD pipeline with a “built‑in quality” mindset.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues by participating in an on‑call rotation, maintaining service reliability and meeting defined SLAs with minimal supervision.
  • Analyse, diagnose, and remediate defects quickly and effectively, ensuring fixes are delivered with minimal rework and aligned with technical design principles.
  • Adopt continuous refactoring practices to reduce technical debt and maintain clean, maintainable, and future‑ready codebases.
  • Implement structured logging, monitoring, and observability hooks to enhance system visibility, reliability, and operational support capabilities.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and modern engineering practices, applying new learnings to continuously improve code quality and system resilience.
  • Contribute to internal engineering playbooks and standards, supporting the evolution of the company Group IT’s software engineering culture and knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering

Knowledge/Skills

  • Full stack developer experienced in front-end development using ReactJS, Node.js, as well as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Experience working on Identity & Access Management Platform, Single Sign-on, OAuth2.0, and API Integration
  • Well versed in Web Services and APIs - Open API Specification and REST principles

Preferred

  • Core Programming Skills in Java (versions 11-17), Spring framework (Core, Spring Reactive, Spring Data)
  • Hands-on experience applying AI/ML tools to accelerate development and optimize workflows
  • Hands-on experience with secure coding practices, code quality standards, and vulnerability remediation
  • Good working experience on Gitlab, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge and understanding of Observability, Metrics, Logs, and Traces and their influence over application health and performance.
  • Able to contribute to Functional & Technical solutioning using Design Patterns, Microservices architecture, and cloud technologies and ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Experience working in SDLC, Agile methodology (SAFe), and related tools like Confluence and JIRA, CI/CD, DevOps
