GAINS Technician

About the Job
The GAINS Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, cleaning, and repairing Galley inserts in accordance with established procedures and technical data. This role includes troubleshooting and clearing defects, following repair and return processes to ensure high quality and a short cycle time of repair and return. The technician must maintain high levels of quality and comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, which include Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources. Accurate documentation of maintenance activities is essential.

Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to utilize computer systems (MS Office, Etc.) to input & retrieve information.
• Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
• Comply with EH&S policies and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend EH&S trainings as required.
• Report unsafe practices and/or conditions to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
• Recommend improvements to EH&S practices in order to create a safer workplace.
• Ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferably with experience working on Ovens, Beverage makers, and Chillers.

Working Conditions

• 100% of time spent on the production floor with occasional loud noise, requiring safety glasses.
• Constant daily exposure to adhesive and solvent vapors.
• Constant daily pushing, pulling, and lifting of hardware.
• Exposure to machinery with moving parts.
