The Gaming Start-up Acceleration Lead at NEOM plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing Incubation & Acceleration programs aligned with NEOM's ambitious plans for the gaming sector. This position requires the individual to iterate on strategic roadmaps, define value propositions, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring program success. Continuous monitoring and adaptation of the programs based on market trends and industry best practices are essential, as is analyzing key metrics to evaluate effectiveness and highlight improvement areas. The leader will be responsible for presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership to ensure alignment with NEOM's overarching vision.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Support: Input into the strategic roadmap for incubation and acceleration programs, defining KPIs, and continuously tracking program performance.
- Startup Identification & Selection: Implement robust processes to scout and identify high-potential gaming startups. Develop selection criteria and oversee due diligence for shortlisted candidates.
- Incubation & Acceleration Activities: Design and deliver tailored programs that provide startups with mentorship, resources, and infrastructure. Secure partnerships with industry experts and facilitate funding opportunities.
- Post-Acceleration Support: Develop strategies to support program graduates, fostering connections with publishers, partners, and investors, and maintaining a strong alumni network for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in identifying, building, and scaling gaming startups.
- A deep understanding of the gaming startup environment and commercialization challenges.
- Relevant business experience within the gaming industry, ideally in a senior management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of video game development and the overall gaming ecosystem.
- A track record of managing incubation and acceleration programs successfully, combined with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in finance and P&L management for operational divisions, specifically in incubation/acceleration activities.
- Preferred qualifications include past experience in founding and leading gaming startups, launching programs from scratch, and familiarity with the gaming landscape in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
A degree, preferably an MSc, is required.
