About the Role
The GE90 CTP SPPE role will work closely with the Shop, Customer team, Customer Programs, Systems Engineering, Fleet Analytics, Life Cycle Engineering, and Services Operations teams. This role will be an integral part in the business priorities both internally and with strategic partnership with MRO shops. You will be expected to develop and maintain strong working relationships between the company partners, Airline customers, Engineering, Services Operations Teams, and Customer and Product Support teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to support the MRO shop, including activities such as customer issue resolution, troubleshooting, service bulletin implementation, fleet configuration, investigation work scopes, and collection of part condition assessments and leading indicators.
  • Define engine work scopes meeting the Maintenance Planning Guide and customer repair specification objectives. Review customer’s requirements and recommend engine work scope to maximize/optimize engine Time on Wing life.
  • Partner with Customer Program Managers (CPM’s) and RSPs to define and execute the maintenance strategy for assigned customer contracts.
  • Participate/lead in pre-induction and gate reviews for CSA customers to assure all technical work scope options are being considered and optimized.
  • Support Shop leading indicator programs for the assigned shop.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Cost Review Board (MCRB) to understand and influence SV cost and improve CSA productivity.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in an aerospace or mechanical engineering position
  • Previous MRO Shop or airline shop experience.
  • Previous experience working within the company RSP relationships.
  • Familiar with the company Aviation long-term service agreements, customer/product support role functions.
  • Experience in engine troubleshooting and root cause investigations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Aviation engines/systems/aircraft/repair or turbo machinery
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

Work Conditions

  • Travel globally as required.
