GenAI with Nodejs Developer

Virtusa is seeking a GenAI with Nodejs Developer with a minimum of 5 years of coding experience in NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing AI-powered features such as chatbot interfaces, language understanding, and summarization. Hands-on experience with cloud and open-source LLMs is essential, along with experience integrating AI frameworks like Langchain and LangGraph into both existing and new applications for advanced language processing.

Key responsibilities include designing, orchestrating, and integrating AI Agents into real-world workflows. A good understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) is preferred, or the willingness to quickly learn and apply it. Familiarity with RAG concepts and vector databases for retrieval-augmented generation is necessary.

Technical Skills Required:

• Developing scalable, highly available RESTful APIs using NodeJS
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, TypeScript, version control software, remote deployment tools, and CI/CD tools
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns including Promises, async/await, and event-driven architectures
• Designing, fine-tuning, and engineering prompts for LLM-based solutions, integrating via APIs or SDKs
• Experience with ORMs and ODMs like Sequelize, TypeORM, or Mongoose
• Implementing real-time communication using WebSockets
• Working knowledge of Azure AI services including speech, language, OpenAI, and PII detection
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and troubleshooting in distributed services
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with firewall and network security concepts for securing APIs and data

Additional Requirements:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Ability to document code inline with JSDoc or other conventions
• Ability to create automation test scripts is preferred
• Knowledge of banking or retail domains is a plus
