We’re looking for a Practice Manager capable of using GenAI and other techniques to design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for unique problems. You will possess both technical and customer-facing skills that will enable you to be the technical “face” of AWS within our solution providers’ ecosystem as well as directly to end customers. Your role will include driving discussions with senior technical and management personnel within customers and partners, while guiding data scientists and software developers. A demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical issues is essential. Additionally, you will excel as a technical team manager, responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining high-quality technical talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to drive adoption of generative AI solutions and shape the future of emerging technology.
- Develop and coach your team on best practices and value-driven architectures.
- Identify opportunities for building reusable technical assets based on customer needs.
- Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help define product direction.
- Drive revenue growth across a diverse set of customers.
- Deliver briefing and deep dive sessions to customers, guiding them on adoption patterns and paths to production.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; or MSc with several years of industry experience.
- Several years of management experience overseeing scientists or machine learning engineers with knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval, and Analytics.
- Strong senior stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in translating informal customer requirements into clear problem definitions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fairness in machine learning and AI to detect and remove bias.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning (e.g., CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer).
- Prior experience in training and fine-tuning of Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Deep expertise in generative AI and experience deploying Large Foundational Models.
- Familiarity with AWS and AWS AI/ML services, especially in a customer-facing role.
