GENERATIVE-AI ENGINEER (OMANI NATIONAL)

About the Role
We are seeking an early-career AI/ML Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience to support the development and deployment of Generative AI solutions, including large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. This role emphasizes hands-on implementation, integration, and learning-by-delivery under guidance.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong foundation in Python, with proficiency in data handling, APIs, and scripting
• Understanding of APIs, Docker, or deployment workflows
• Exposure to deploying ML/AI models, gained from projects or internships
• Understanding of embeddings and retrieval workflows
• Hands-on experience through projects
• Familiarity with GPT/Llama APIs
• Ability to structure prompts and evaluate outputs
• Basic familiarity with vector databases such as FAISS, Chroma, or Pinecone
• Strong grasp of ML fundamentals including overfitting, evaluation metrics, and basic algorithms
• Ability to reason about model behavior

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in building RAG-based Generative AI solutions for enterprise use cases
• Develop Python-based services and APIs that integrate LLMs
• Support data preprocessing, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines
• Contribute to model deployment and integration tasks
• Debug and improve existing pipelines under supervision
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers to understand production constraints such as latency, cost, and accuracy

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Basic understanding of CI/CD or MLOps concepts
• Internship or project experience in Generative AI or machine learning use cases

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of experience in AI/ML, inclusive of internships and project work
• Exposure to at least one end-to-end ML/Generative AI project in either academic or professional settings
