ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Generator and HVAC Technician for a critical role supporting the Worldwide Field Support contract for the U.S. Army in Bahrain. In this position, you will perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and services on all types of military and commercial generators and HVAC systems, including 3kW to 150kW EPP III generators. Your work will greatly impact mission success by providing on-site technical assistance and training to site operations and maintenance personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance and sustainment support on generators, including installation and removal of units from fixed and mobile locations.
- Troubleshoot and repair alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) systems, electronic control systems, electrical wiring, and accessories.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, chillers, and Environmental Control Units, including standalone and trailer-mounted types.
- Maintain commercial power generation equipment, military spec generators, and Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS).
- Operate a Load bank during generator testing.
- Fabricate wire harnesses and solder terminals.
- Complete other duties as assigned, which may include work in both a generator shop environment and a field environment.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Education: High School diploma required; BA/BS with 2 years’ experience, AA/AS with 4 years’ experience, or high school diploma with 7 years’ experience.
- Technical Skills: Extensive experience with diesel generators, knowledge of generator parallel systems and switch gear, experience with brazing copper tubing, evacuating and recharging refrigerant.
- Security Clearance: Must possess a Secret clearance and be eligible for it.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq.
- Additional Role Requirements: US passport valid for at least 2 more years, valid US driver's license, and international driver's permit (AAA).

CERTIFICATIONS
- Section 608 Technician Certification – EPA is a plus.
- Must meet CRC fitness standards for deployment to Southwest Asia (SWA) and maintain those standards annually while on contract in SWA.
