GIS Developer/Programmer

This position involves contributing to the achievement of departmental and division goals aligned with the strategic plan of the sector and the Transport Center's objectives, particularly within the Geographic and Navigation Information Section. The role supports the integration of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) with the geographic transport information infrastructure and related projects within Abu Dhabi, ensuring that GIS-Navigation systems fulfill operational requirements. Responsibilities include providing technical support to GIS-Navigation systems users, collecting and documenting system information, preparing technical reports, participating in the design and customization of new systems, and maintaining and updating all GIS-related software and applications.

The ideal candidate should have between 0 to 10 years of experience in software development, with a preference for those who have 10+ years and ideally 15+ years in GIS systems and applications, particularly within the transportation sector. Proficiency in full stack development is required, including skills in ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, Python, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as Angular/Node/Express, as well as experience with the ArcGIS suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API for JavaScript) and hybrid/native mobile app development (e.g., Ionic, ArcGIS SDK for iOS). Multilingual capabilities in English and Arabic are essential.
