GIS I&C Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for covering all the activities required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed, repaired, and any faults eliminated. You will manage the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV, representing PG in general through your presence and technical knowledge and PGHV specifically in dealings with the client at the installation site. Adhering to project deadlines while maintaining a focus on cost-performance ratio is crucial. You will embody the PG QA philosophy and consider the special conditions on construction sites, ensuring that the installation and commissioning work are carried out in perfect technical order.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements and instructions while observing necessary accident prevention measures.
• Mark drawings/documents with any necessary changes or modifications during the installation.
• Advise sub-suppliers' installation superintendent on planning and coordination of the workforce to comply with the schedule.
• Cooperate with the PG Project Manager on establishing the status of completed and non-completed work.
• Inspect arriving material for completeness and possible damage, coordinating material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers' material control.
• Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within PG scope of supply in cooperation with the PG Project Manager.
• Supervise final installation & commissioning tests and maintain PG installation completion documentation.
• Supervise and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
• Accountable for the competent execution of assigned tasks.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by management as necessary to fulfill job requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
• Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS product knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in using MS Project professionally.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
