GIS I&C Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for all activities and actions necessary for the successful installation, repair, and fault elimination of switching systems. You will work on the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV, representing PG in general through your presence and technical knowledge, specifically in dealings with clients at installation sites. You will adhere to project deadlines while maintaining a focus on cost-performance ratios, embody the PG QA philosophy, and ensure that installation and commissioning work is carried out in perfect technical order.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements and accident prevention measures, particularly for work on live system components.
• Update red-mark drawings/documents with any necessary changes or modifications during installation.
• Advise the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordinating workforce needed to comply with the schedule.
• Cooperate with the PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and incomplete work.
• Inspect arriving materials for completeness and damage, coordinating material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers' procedures.
• Issue non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment within PG scope of supply, in cooperation with the PG Project Manager.
• Supervise final installation and commissioning tests, as well as PG installation completion documentation.
• Oversee and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
• Ensure the competent execution of assigned tasks.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill job requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
• Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub Transmission GIS Product knowledge preferred.
• Proficient in using MS Project professionally.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
