Position

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will cover all the activities/actions required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed, repaired, and any faults eliminated. You will be responsible for the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV. You will represent PG in general through your presence and technical knowledge and PGHV specifically in dealings with the client at the installation site. It’s crucial to adhere to the deadlines issued for each project while keeping in mind the cost-performance ratio. You will embody the PG QA philosophy, considering the special conditions on the construction sites. Your responsibility will be to ensure that the installation & commissioning work entrusted to you is carried out in perfect technical order.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
  • Ensure compliance with the installation requirements and instructions and observe necessary accident prevention measures, particularly guidelines for work on live system components.
  • Responsible for red-mark drawings/documents with any changes or modifications that become necessary during the installation.
  • Advise the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the workforce necessary to comply with the schedule.
  • Cooperate with the PG Project Manager on establishing the status of completed and non-completed work.
  • Inspect arriving material for completeness and possible damage and coordinate material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers' material control within their procedures.
  • Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within the PG scope of supply in cooperation with the PG Project Manager.
  • Supervise final installation & commissioning tests and PG installation completion documentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
  • Ensure competent execution of your tasks.
  • Carry out any tasks assigned by management as necessary to fulfil job requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
  • Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS Product knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in using MS Project professionally.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
