About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV, covering all activities required to ensure successful installation, repairs, and fault elimination of switching systems. You will represent PG through your presence and technical knowledge at the installation site, adhering to project deadlines while maintaining a focus on cost-performance ratios. You will embody the PG QA philosophy, taking special conditions on construction sites into account, and ensure the installation & commissioning work is performed in perfect technical order.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
- Ensuring compliance with installation requirements and observing necessary accident prevention measures, specifically in accordance with live system components' work guidelines.
- Responsible for red-mark drawings/documents reflecting any necessary changes or modifications during installation.
- Advising the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordinating the work force necessary to comply with the project schedule.
- Cooperating with PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and non-completed work.
- Inspecting arriving material for completeness and damage, coordinating material handling in cooperation with sub-supplier Material Control as per their procedures.
- Issuing non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment within PG scope of supply while collaborating with PG Project Manager.
- Supervising final installation & commissioning tests and PG installation completion documentation.
- Supervising and coordinating loop check activities and participating at site meetings as requested by PG-CH Project Manager.
- Ensuring competent execution of assigned tasks.
- Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by management essential for fulfilling job requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
- Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS Product knowledge preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Project is required.
- Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
