About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work as a GIS I&C Engineer, covering all activities required to enable the successful installation, repair, and fault elimination of switching systems. You will be responsible for the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV. You will represent PG through your presence and technical knowledge, and specifically PGHV in dealings with clients at installation sites, ensuring adherence to project deadlines while maintaining a strong cost-performance balance. The role embodies the PG QA philosophy, keeping in mind the special conditions present on construction sites, and ensuring that all installation and commissioning work is conducted in perfect technical order.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
  • Ensure compliance with installation requirements and safety measures, especially during work on live system components.
  • Responsible for red-marking drawings/documents with necessary changes or modifications that arise during installation.
  • Advise the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordinating the workforce required to meet schedules.
  • Cooperate with the PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and non-completed work.
  • Inspect incoming materials for completeness and possible damage, coordinating material handling with sub-suppliers according to their procedures.
  • Issue non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment within PG's scope of supply, in cooperation with the PG Project Manager.
  • Supervise final installation and commissioning tests, ensuring PG installation completion documentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
  • Ensure the competent execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Undertake any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill job requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
  • Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS product knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficient in using MS Project professionally.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
