About the Job:
The opportunity is for a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will cover all activities required to enable the successful installation and repair of switching systems, as well as eliminate any faults. You will be responsible for the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV and will represent PG in general and PGHV specifically during client interactions at installation sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
  • Ensuring compliance with installation requirements and accident prevention measures, particularly for work on live system components.
  • Managing red-marked drawings and documents reflecting necessary changes during installation.
  • Advising sub-suppliers on planning and workforce coordination to meet project schedules.
  • Cooperating with the PG Project Manager to assess completed and outstanding work.
  • Inspecting arriving materials for completeness and potential damage, coordinating material handling with sub-suppliers.
  • Issuing non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment within PG scope, in coordination with the PG Project Manager.
  • Supervising final installation and commissioning tests, as well as PG installation completion documentation.
  • Leading loop check activities and participating in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines while embodying the company's core values of safety and integrity.

Your Background:

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
  • Previous experience with SF6 GAS handling and PGHV transmission & sub-transmission GIS product knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Project is essential.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
