Position

The GIS Troubleshooting Specialist is responsible for overseeing all activities required to install, repair, and eliminate faults in Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems. This role represents the company's interests globally, ensuring technical excellence, project deadlines, and quality assurance standards are upheld. The Specialist acts as the company’s technical ambassador at installation sites, maintaining client satisfaction while adhering to project schedules and cost-efficiency targets.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Ensure installation work is carried out in perfect technical order and compliance with requirements.
  • Conduct installation and maintenance work independently.
  • Observe necessary accident prevention measures, particularly on live system components.
  • Red-mark drawings/documents with any necessary changes during installation.
  • Advise sub-supplier installation superintendents on planning and coordination of workforce.
  • Cooperate with the Project Manager to establish the status of completed and non-completed work.
  • Inspect incoming material for completeness and damage while coordinating material handling with sub-suppliers.
  • Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Supervise final installation tests and completion documentation.
  • Coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as required.
  • Fulfill any tasks assigned by management to meet job requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Uphold the company’s core values of safety and integrity.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience with GIS systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SF6 gas handling.
  • Familiarity with the company GIS products.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
