About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will cover all activities required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed, repaired, and faults eliminated. You will be responsible for the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV, representing PG through your presence and technical knowledge in client dealings at installation sites. Adhering to project deadlines and being mindful of the cost-performance ratio are essential, alongside embodying the PG QA philosophy and considering special conditions on construction sites. You will ensure that the installation and commissioning work entrusted to you is executed in perfect technical order.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Carry out installation and maintenance work independently.
- Ensure compliance with installation requirements and observe necessary accident prevention measures, especially guidelines for work on live system components.
- Responsible for red-mark drawings/documents with any changes or modifications that became necessary during installation.
- Advise the sub-supplier's installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the workforce necessary to comply with the schedule.
- Cooperate with the PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and non-completed work.
- Inspect incoming material for completeness and possible damage, coordinating material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers' Material Control.
- Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within PG scope of supply, in collaboration with the PG Project Manager.
- Supervise final installation and commissioning tests and PG installation completion documentation.
- Supervise and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
- Ensure competent execution of your tasks.
- Carry out any assigned tasks by management necessary to fulfil job requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
- Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS product knowledge preferred.
- Capability to use MS Project professionally.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
