GIS I&C Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will cover all activities required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed and repaired while eliminating any faults. You will be responsible for the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV. The successful candidate will represent the company in dealings with the client at the installation site, ensuring adherence to project deadlines while maintaining cost-performance efficiency. The role embodies the PG QA philosophy, considering the unique conditions on construction sites.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
• Ensuring compliance with installation requirements and accident prevention measures, especially on live system components.
• Making necessary modifications to red-mark drawings/documents during installation.
• Advising and coordinating with the sub-supplier's installation superintendent and cooperating with the PG Project Manager.
• Inspecting arriving materials for completeness and possible damage, coordinating material handling with sub-suppliers.
• Issuing non-conformance reports for any damage or missing equipment.
• Supervising installation and commissioning tests, including final installation documentation.
• Coordinating loop check activities and participating in site meetings as requested.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations and fulfilling any additional tasks assigned by management.

Your Background:

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
• Previous experience with SF6 gas handling and PGHV transmission & sub-transmission GIS product knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project is required.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
