About the role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for covering all activities/actions required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed, repaired, and any faults eliminated. You will handle the installation of high voltage systems worldwide for PGHV, representing PG in general through your presence and technical knowledge, while specifically interacting with the client at the installation site. Adhering to project deadlines and considering cost-performance ratios is essential. You will embody the PG QA philosophy, taking into account the special conditions on construction sites, and ensure that installation & commissioning work is executed in perfect technical order.

How you’ll make an impact
- Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
- Ensuring compliance with installation requirements and Instructions, observing necessary accident prevention measures, particularly for work on live system components.
- Responsible for red-marking drawings/documents reflecting any necessary changes or modifications during installation.
- Advising the sub-supplier's installation superintendent on planning and coordination of the workforce to comply with the schedule.
- Cooperating with the PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and non-completed work.
- Inspecting incoming material for completeness and potential damage, coordinating material handling with sub-suppliers in line with their procedures.
- Issuing non-conformance reports for any damaged or missing equipment under PG scope of supply in collaboration with the PG Project Manager.
- Supervising final installation & commissioning tests along with PG installation completion documentation.
- Supervising and coordinating loop check activities and participating in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
- Responsible for the competent execution of your tasks.
- Completing any management-assigned tasks necessary to fulfill job requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Upholding the company's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
Your background
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
- Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS product knowledge is preferred.
- Capable of using MS Project professionally.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
