GIS Installation and Commissioning Engineer

The opportunity is for a GIS Installation & Commissioning Supervisor at the company based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing the installation and commissioning of switching systems, ensuring they are successfully installed, repaired, and that any faults are eliminated. This includes supporting the installation of high-voltage systems worldwide for PGHV. A key part of the position is to represent PG through technical expertise in interactions with clients at installation sites while adhering to project deadlines and maintaining cost-performance efficiency. Emphasis is placed on compliance with installation requirements, safety measures, and internal QA standards.

Responsibilities:

• Support installation and commissioning work to ensure it is technically sound.
• Perform installation and maintenance tasks independently.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements and accident prevention measures.
• Mark drawings or documents for changes made during installation.
• Advise sub-suppliers on planning and coordination.
• Collaborate with the PG Project Manager on project status.
• Inspect materials for completeness and damage, coordinating with Material Control teams.
• Issue non-conformance reports for equipment issues.
• Supervise final installation tests and oversee completion documentation.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate loop check activities.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external regulations and safety guidelines.
• Uphold the company's core values of safety and integrity.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience with GIS preferred.
• Strong experience with SF6 gas handling; knowledge of PGHV-CH GIS products is a plus.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
