The GIS Specialist will be responsible for developing, managing, and validating geospatial data layers, spatial analytics, and map-based intelligence products. The role focuses on ensuring spatial consistency, accuracy, and usability of geospatial outputs across large-scale, multi-source datasets, supporting decision-making for infrastructure, environment, security, and emergency-response use cases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and maintain GIS-ready datasets, including raster and vector layers.
- Perform spatial analysis such as overlays, buffering, network analysis, and spatial joins.
- Ensure spatial consistency across coordinate systems, projections, resolutions, and time.
- Support integration of EO-derived analytics into GIS layers, heatmaps, and dashboards.
- Conduct quality control, validation, and metadata management for geospatial products.
- Develop automated GIS workflows and scripts to support repeatable analytics.
- Prepare cartographic products, maps, and spatial summaries for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support geospatial requirements for pilots, PoCs, and operational deployments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced product environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical experience).
