Project Overview:
The GIS Specialist will be involved in the Expo 2030 Riyadh project, a global event that promotes sustainable development and innovation. The specialist will play a key role in managing the infrastructure program while ensuring the site transitions to a mixed-use development post-event.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop maps using ArcGIS Pro for project stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain data within geodatabases tailored for project needs.
- Coordinate with project departments to create end-user solutions, conducting needs analysis and application design.
- Manage GIS compatibility with other BIM/CAD tools (Revit, Civil3D, etc.).
- Assist in developing methodologies for cross-functional process improvement.
- Implement GIS solutions to support project sustainability initiatives.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of GIS experience in design management related to infrastructure projects.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in GIS applications including Esri products (ArcPro, ArcGIS).
- Experience with GIS web services and web-based GIS solutions.
- Ability to customize and automate GIS tasks through scripting.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Capacity to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
