GIS Specialist

The company is seeking a GIS Specialist as part of the Expo 2030 project in Riyadh. This position involves supporting project teams with Geographic Information System (GIS) technology (ESRI) to achieve project goals. Key responsibilities include map development, data maintenance within geodatabases, interoperability with BIM/CAD tools, and ensuring the quality and standardization of geospatial data.

Project Overview: Expo 2030 Riyadh will serve as a platform for global collaboration, focusing on sustainable development and innovation, with an expected attendance of over 40 million visitors. The project covers a comprehensive framework for participation and infrastructure and emphasizes international sustainability standards.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop geospatial maps using ArcGIS Pro for various project stakeholders.
• Design and maintain databases tailored to project needs.
• Collaborate across departments to define end-user solutions including needs analysis and system rollout.
• Manage interoperability of GIS with other BIM/CAD systems to enhance project value.
• Implement GIS solutions to support sustainability initiatives and perform quality assurance checks.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Degree in Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of GIS experience, especially in infrastructure projects.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in GIS applications such as Esri products, GlobalMapper, FME, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
• Experience in developing web-based GIS solutions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments under changing priorities.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is expected for all communications and documentation.
