We are seeking a skilled GitLab Engineer/Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of GitLab environments, as well as developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and administer GitLab (Self-Managed or GitLab Cloud) environments.
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Implement GitLab best practices for branching strategies, version control, and repository management.
- Manage user access, groups, runners, integrations, and security settings.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, YAML, or similar tools to support DevOps efficiency.
- Deploy and manage GitLab Runners (Docker, Shell, Kubernetes-based runners).
- Integrate GitLab with external systems such as Kubernetes, Docker Registry, Jira, cloud providers, and monitoring tools.
- Ensure security compliance through access control, secrets management, backups, and audit policies.
- Troubleshoot GitLab infrastructure issues, pipeline failures, and integration problems.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and scaling needs of GitLab services.
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and best practices for DevOps workflows.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support continuous integration and delivery initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a GitLab Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or CI/CD Specialist.
- Strong expertise in:
- GitLab administration and CI/CD configuration
- Git version control and branching strategies
- GitLab Runners, Docker, Kubernetes
- YAML pipeline configuration
- Linux system administration
- Experience with containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their DevOps tools
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Troubleshooting mindset with strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:
- GitLab Certified Associate or Professional certification.
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) are a strong plus.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
