About the Job: Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Global Director - Project Management (CL/FM/MA/PSEZ) will play a crucial role in leading and driving international and complex projects for the logistics division. This role will be accountable for translating approved strategy into executable, value-generating global transformation programs. The primary focus will be on owning the global CL/FM/MA/PSEZ portfolio end-to-end.

The Global Director will lead project management for a global portfolio of product and technology initiatives within CL/FM/MA/PSEZ, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery and measurable business outcomes related to overall project management. This role aligns Global, Regional and Group Technology teams across ocean FCL/LCL, air, and value-added services (VAS) to standardize ways of working, improve master data governance, and scale capabilities globally.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and drive project management, focusing on execution and strategic direction of large-scale global projects.
  • Roadmap Strategy & Communities of Practice: Establish and manage the communities roadmap and translate business strategy into an integrated quarterly roadmap.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the SVP PMO to align project work with corporate strategy and objectives.
  • JIRA Governance & Portfolio Hygiene: Handle portfolio governance including value-based prioritization and release sequencing.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between the SVP PMO and project teams, ensuring timely updates and collaboration.
  • Project Oversight: Lead global projects, monitor progress, identify risks, and propose strategies for mitigation.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Own project reporting, assist in project analysis, and provide insights for senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and coordination across departments.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Integration: Support the integration of M&A activities into company operations and facilitate transitions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement initiatives for enhancing project management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Development: Drive initiatives to enhance learning and development for project management, including conducting training sessions.
  • Delivery & Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project-related risks, manage dependencies, and drive enterprise risk management.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or Project Management certification (PMP) preferred.
  • 10–12+ years of experience in delivering large, multi-region product/technology programs, with a successful track record in project management roles.
  • Proven experience (5 years) specifically in CL/FM/MA/PSEZ.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is desirable.
