Global Lead Engineer (Back End) - Digital Strategic Partnerships

About the Job: The Global Lead Engineer (Back End) is responsible for delivering and maintaining IT applications and services to support Mashreq's strategy in information technology. This role entails overseeing the technical aspects of projects/features and collaborating with the Group Product Owner and Chapter Lead. The engineer in this position will govern teams across various countries within the scope of the Squad's deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a comprehensive overview of projects and setting priorities based on contextual understanding.
• Serving as a resource for the team when facing technical challenges.
• Creating and maintaining a technical knowledge base within the Squad.
• Continuously improving personal coding skills and those of junior and senior engineers, establishing and enhancing coding standards.
• Mastering several backend engineering languages and techniques, applying them as appropriate to each situation.
• Writing tutorials and providing training to team members.
