Global Lead Engineer (Backend) - Assisted Channels Squad

The Global Lead Engineer will be responsible for delivering and maintaining IT applications and services to realize Mashreq's strategy in information technology. This role entails overseeing technical aspects of projects and features, collaborating closely with the Group Product Owner and Chapter Lead. The engineer will also govern engineers across all countries involved in the Squad's deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a comprehensive view of project priorities based on contextual needs.
• Serve as a go-to resource for the team when facing technical challenges.
• Create and maintain a necessary technical knowledge base within the squad.
• Provide continuous improvement in coding practices for both oneself and junior/senior engineers, establishing and refining coding standards.
• Master various backend engineering languages and techniques to determine the best application based on the situation.
• Write tutorials and offer training to team members.

Work Conditions:

• Full-time, on-site position in the United Arab Emirates.
