As a Global Lead Engineer (Front End) at Mashreq, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining IT applications and services in alignment with the organization's information technology strategy. Your role will involve governance of Engineers across various countries and ensuring the technical aspects of projects. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to frontend engineering excellence and work with Designated Principal Engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Chapter Lead to implement best practices.
- Develop IT products, conducting unit tests and reviews to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design, build, and test IT products, ensuring functional, performance, resilience, and security.
- Improve the Continuous Delivery process and set up monitoring of IT product usage.
Qualifications:
- Excellent programming/coding skills and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Web Technologies (HTML/CSS) and JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, TailwindCSS, NextJs).
- Knowledge of Mobile Technologies (React Native) and proficiency in Java/Kotlin or Swift.
- Understanding of CI/CD for Frontend Stack using tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Experience with Open Finance, Open Banking, and Open APIs is preferable.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Single Sign-On, and Search Technologies (Apigee, GraphQL, etc.).
- At least 10 years of software development experience, with a strong background in Agile teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with unit testing frameworks (Jest or Mocha).
- Passion for mentoring and continual learning.
