We are seeking Golang engineers of all levels to join our teams at the company. If you have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in Go, we want to hear from you. The company utilizes Golang where performance and security are critical, with additional projects in Python, C, C++, and Rust. Our engineering teams rely heavily on Golang for the development of systems that deliver Ubuntu worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement well-tested and documented software in Go.
- Debug and resolve issues encountered by users.
- Participate in engineering processes including code and architectural reviews.
- Collaborate with community and colleagues on technical specifications.
- Look for improvements in engineering and operational practices.
- Deploy and operate services developed by the team.
- Advocate for the success of your product through technical contributions.
What We Are Looking For:
- An exceptional academic track record, preferably an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a STEM field.
- Proven experience and drive with a track record of exceeding expectations.
- Well-organized, self-starting, and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Professionalism in interactions with colleagues, partners, and the community.
- Experience designing and writing high-quality Golang software on Linux.
- Passion for Linux at the system level.
- For senior roles, experience with building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs.
- Professional written and spoken English is required.
- Familiarity with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel for company events twice a year for up to two weeks.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience developing for Ubuntu Linux.
- Familiarity with Juju, LXD, Microk8s, Snapd, Ubuntu Core, and Ubuntu Pro.
- Background in performance engineering and security experience.
