Golang Technical Lead

We are hiring Tech Leads to run engineering teams of 4 to 8 engineers in a hands-on position where you will be the technical owner of your team's outcomes. Most of your time will be spent writing and reviewing code, while also being accountable for the technical direction, delivery, and engineering health of the people on your team. If you are seeking a management position without coding responsibilities, this is not for you.

Responsibilities:

• Set technical direction for your team's domain and defend your decisions.
• Write production code regularly, addressing the most complex parts of the codebase.
• Review code from every engineer on the team and use this as a teaching channel.
• Plan delivery alongside your Product Owner: manage risk and push back on scope when needed.
• Own incidents in your domain end-to-end and coordinate across teams when necessary.
• Mentor and grow your engineers, including providing direct performance feedback.
• Represent your team's technical posture to partners, vendors, and senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in at least one of our core stacks (TypeScript, Go) with the ability to ramp up on the others.
• Proven track record of owning a service or product area in production over multiple quarters.
• Experience delivering in a startup or scale-up environment under changing requirements.
• Ability to manage challenging parts of the role, such as delivering critical feedback or making difficult decisions.
• Effective use of AI coding tools as a support for the team.

Nice to Have:

• Background in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries.
• Experience with partner-driven delivery, especially integrations with banks or platform vendors.
