Graduate Algorithm Developer

KATIM is a leader in the development of innovative secure communication products and solutions for governments and businesses. As part of the Space & Cyber Technologies cluster at the company, KATIM delivers trust in a world where cyber risks are a constant threat. This role focuses on developing and simulating physical-layer algorithms. The graduate will support simulation studies and learn how algorithms are integrated into hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in modelling and simulating Layer 1 algorithms (modulation, channel coding) using Python or MATLAB.
• Analyse simulation results for accuracy and performance; document findings and discuss improvements with mentors.
• Read and summarise academic papers on algorithm optimisation; present findings in team meetings.
• Support integration of simulated algorithms into test frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Coursework in communications theory, probability, and linear algebra.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or C++ through assignments or projects.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn advanced algorithms and accept feedback.
