Graduate Software Engineer, Open Source and Linux

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, notably through our widely used platform, Ubuntu. We offer a range of software engineering challenges across various industries, including public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will join a global team focused on building innovative solutions in the open source ecosystem.

We hire Graduate Software Engineers into engineering teams worldwide and provide the opportunity to work on projects ranging from low-level system components to applications and cloud solutions. You will engage with code reviews, issue tracking, and user experience to create impactful software solutions. Successful candidates will possess a strong academic background and excel in programming, ideally in languages such as Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, or Java.

Work Conditions:

• Type of Work: Full-time, five days a week
• Remote Work: Most engineering teams operate remotely, with alignment in time zones (EMEA, APAC, AMER).
• Travel: International travel for company events twice a year, lasting up to two weeks.

Language Requirements:

• Professional written and spoken English is essential.
