As a Graduate Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Shaping the product roadmap during global sprints every six months
- Focusing on design and user experience for developer tooling and command line apps
- Writing high-quality, resilient, and performant code serving millions of users
- Mastering key programming languages and Linux system knowledge
- Engaging with users and the open source community through code reviews
- Responding to customer issues and understanding enterprise requirements
- Developing security skills in software design and implementation
Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions:
- Full-time
- Remote work environment with occasional in-person sprints (twice a year)
- Standard work hours Monday to Friday, with an expectation of productivity and engagement
- Flexibility to work with global teams in different time zones (EMEA, APAC, AMER)
- Opportunity for international travel for company events (up to two weeks long, twice a year)
Language Requirements:
- Professional written and spoken English
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional academic track record in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline with programming courses
- Confidence to deliver high-quality code in Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, or Java
- Experience with Ubuntu or another Linux distribution
- Personal projects in technology and software engineering outside of the curriculum
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
- Ability to travel internationally for company events
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Upstream open source contributions
- Packaging and Linux distribution contributions (Debian, Fedora, Arch, Nix, etc.)
- Leadership and organization skills
- Presentation and writing abilities
