The company is looking for an amazingly talented Graphic Designer to join our team! In this role, you will:
- Design and prepare complex art and copy layouts, applying established standards and formats from the company’s style manual.
- Assign less-complex work to lower-level Graphic Designers as the job leader on large projects.
- Work directly with Technical Writers/Editors and/or authors/requestors to review artwork, text, and other materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency with company style.
- Design and produce complex reproduction-ready visual graphics, including newsletters, brochures, flyers, slides, charts, plots, diagrams, tables, sketches, posters, signs, and certificates.
- Modify existing artwork as required.
- Lead a functional team of lower-level Graphic Designers to complete assignments according to schedule.
- Provide reproduction data such as reduction sizing, quantity, and paper/ink selection.
- Train new employees and review work produced by lower-level Graphic Designers for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Skills:
- Associate degree in Graphic Design or certificate of completion from an accredited design/graphics course (or equivalent) is preferred, and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in graphic design technology and software used to complete graphic design assignments.
- Demonstrated advanced graphic design skills and a thorough knowledge of graphics production techniques and reproduction/printing processes.
- Ability to perform in a lead capacity and demonstrate aptitude and commitment for organizing, scheduling, and completing large-scale complex graphic design assignments on time.
