What You'll Be Doing:
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using appropriate software
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
- Create documents including design reports, status reports, and dashboards
- Work on a wide range of projects, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs
- Obtain input from managers to ensure designs meet organizational standards
- Work independently and cooperatively with the PMO team to meet deadlines
- Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions to improve design capabilities
- Create new processes and standards for graphic design purposes
- Update and maintain internal databases for graphic design related tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or similar
- 8+ years of related work experience
- Proven graphic designing experience
- A highly creative mindset with experience using creative skills for professional documents
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Familiarity with design software (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Proactive approach to own activities and assisting in other disciplines
Desired Skills
- Previous experience working in a technical PMO
- Experience in creating engineering/project management documents/reports
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with multidisciplinary departments
