As a Graphic Designer, under minimal supervision, you will utilize current graphic design technology and computer software packages to prepare designs, art, and copy layouts for proposals, presentations, reports, technical papers, newsletters, and other visual communications media. You will be capable of performing difficult and complex graphic design assignments.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design and prepare complex art and copy layouts, applying established standards and formats from the company’s style manual.
- Work directly with Technical Writers/Editors and/or the authors/requestors to review artwork, text, and other materials for inclusion in assigned documents, recommending improvements for accuracy, clarity, and consistency with company style.
- Design and produce reproduction-ready visual graphics, including newsletters, brochures, flyers, slides, charts, plots, diagrams, tables, sketches, isometrics, viewgraphs, posters, signs, and certificates.
- Modify existing artwork as required.
- Serve as part of a functional team to complete assignments according to schedule.
- Provide reproduction data such as reduction sizing, quantity, and paper/ink selection.
- Assist in training new employees and review work produced by lower-level Graphic Designers.
- Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.
Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of related work experience, with UAE work experience being mandatory.
- Proficiency in graphic design technology and software.
- Advanced graphic design skills and a thorough knowledge of graphics production techniques and reproduction/printing processes.
- An aptitude for completing detailed, varied, and simultaneous graphic design assignments while demonstrating a commitment to meet schedule requirements.
