About the Role
The company is seeking an accomplished Group Procurement Director to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, group-wide strategic procurement function across our portfolio of operating hotels. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven professional capable of transforming a decentralized purchasing environment into a coordinated, efficient, and value-generating procurement organization. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of establishing procurement strategies, policies, governance frameworks, and sourcing capabilities across complex organizations comprising multiple operating entities.

Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy & Organization

  • Design and implement a group-wide procurement strategy, operating model, and governance framework.
  • Establish procurement policies, procedures, approval authorities, and compliance standards across the hotel portfolio.
  • Define the optimal balance between centralized strategic sourcing and decentralized operational purchasing.

2. Group Synergies & Value Creation

  • Identify and capture procurement synergies, economies of scale, and consolidation opportunities across multiple properties and geographies.
  • Develop category management strategies, group purchasing agreements, and preferred supplier frameworks.
  • Deliver measurable cost efficiencies while maintaining operational quality, service standards, and business continuity.

3. Supplier & Contract Management

  • Lead strategic supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and performance management.
  • Establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers and develop regional and international sourcing opportunities.
  • Implement robust supplier evaluation, risk management, and contractual governance processes.

4. Performance, Technology & Transformation

  • Introduce procurement performance indicators, spend analytics, reporting dashboards, and savings measurement methodologies.
  • Drive procurement digitalization, including appropriate e-procurement platforms and purchasing systems.
  • Build a culture of procurement excellence, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Partner closely with hotel General Managers, Finance Directors, operational teams, and corporate leadership.
  • Engage constructively with hotel owners and stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with property-level requirements and ownership structures.
  • Build and lead a high-performing procurement organization capable of supporting a geographically diversified portfolio.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 15+ years of professional experience, including significant leadership responsibilities in strategic procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, establishing, and scaling centralized or coordinated procurement functions across large, decentralized, multi-entity organizations.
  • Strong experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, procurement governance, and cost optimization.
  • Proven ability to generate measurable financial benefits through procurement consolidation and organizational transformation.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, food & beverage, travel retail, or other multi-site service industries. Hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen, financial understanding, analytical capabilities, and technology orientation.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and change-management skills, with the ability to drive alignment across independently managed operating entities.
  • Preferably currently based in the UAE or wider GCC, with relevant regional market knowledge and supplier networks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications are advantageous.
