Position

The Group Specialist - Security & Governance is responsible for identifying misconfigurations in various security technologies including next generation firewalls (NGFW), web application firewalls (WAF), End-Point Detection and Response (EDR), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Network Access Control (NAC), and Office 365. Key responsibilities include developing a technical assurance program to enhance cyber sanity and security posture, verifying compliance against DP World cyber security standards and baselines, and suggesting corrective measures for identified issues. This role involves reviewing network designs for gaps against secure architecture principles, assessing on-premises and cloud infrastructures, evaluating Azure container resources for misconfigurations and weaknesses, and conducting application, server, and database compliance checks against best practices. Additionally, the specialist will automate security assessments using the latest technologies such as AI and ML, collaborate with regional IT teams to close security gaps, monitor the effective implementation of policies across business units, and act as an ambassador for DP World by promoting positive behaviors and adhering to the company's code of conduct and ethics.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience: 8-10 years in IT security and governance, including at least 5 years in network design, segmentation, and hands-on experience with security technologies.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge in network and infrastructure security.
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud architectures.
    • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication, project management, time management, and teamwork skills.
    • Adaptability in complex environments and a passion for learning.

This role requires cultural awareness and the ability to work with virtual teams across regions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) is expected.
