Group System Administrator

As a Group System Administrator at DP World in Dubai, UAE, you will be responsible for administering and monitoring both on-premises and cloud-based servers (Windows/Linux). Your key responsibilities will include managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and user accounts; overseeing network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs); ensuring security best practices (patch management, backup, disaster recovery); maintaining hardware inventory; monitoring system performance; and installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise applications (e.g., Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware). You will coordinate with vendors for issue resolution, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and maintain IT documentation. Additionally, you will assist with IT audits and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in IT system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, and networking protocols.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with security tools (endpoint protection, SIEM, MFA, backup solutions).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• PowerShell or Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, New Relic).
• Understanding of the ITIL framework and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

• MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, Azure Administrator, or RHCSA.
