Role Summary:
The Gulf Strategic Portfolio Director and PMO Lead drives the definition, prioritization, and execution of strategic digital and IT initiatives across the Gulf, serving as a key leader in positioning the market as a regional lighthouse for innovation. This role oversees the entire lifecycle of high-impact projects—from setup and resource mobilization to deployment and post-implementation review—ensuring alignment with business goals, adherence to governance standards, and delivery of measurable outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with Gulf and regional stakeholders to shape and lead strategic digital and IT initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the Gulf deployment roadmap, prioritizing based on business value, risk, and readiness.
  • Direct the full lifecycle of initiatives, ensuring high standards of delivery and measurable outcomes.
  • Define standards and frameworks for governance, reporting, and risk management within the strategic portfolio.
  • Communicate transparently with senior leadership about strategy, progress, and outcomes.
  • Develop transition plans to ensure operational continuity and sustainable ownership of solutions.
  • Monitor utilization of the strategic portfolio, guiding stakeholders to maximize business benefits.
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure quality delivery and contractual alignment.
  • Foster standardization and knowledge sharing across MEA markets.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), with an MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in multinational companies, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, or FMCG.
  • Minimum of 5 years in programme/project management with a strong track record in strategic portfolio and PMO management.
  • Expertise in digital and IT initiatives, agile and hybrid delivery methods.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project Management certification.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial.
