About
As a Hardware and Software Integration Engineer (Consultant) in Air Traffic Management, you will support the integration activities necessary to fulfill the requirements of the New ATM System, as well as support the ATC system across various sites. Your role will involve leading the integration of hardware and software components, ensuring their compatibility and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of hardware and software components of the new air traffic management system.
  • Diagnose and resolve integration issues, providing technical support throughout the implementation process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, system architects, and project managers.
  • Create detailed documentation of integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide technical training and support to internal teams and end-users on system functionalities and integration aspects.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and optimizations, recommending and implementing solutions.
  • Carry out On-the-Job Training (OJT) with nominated engineers.
  • Support first-line maintenance of the complete ATM system.
  • Coordinate and deliver technical instructions to allow engineers to perform maintenance.
  • Travel to other sites where equipment and systems are deployed to ensure availability requirements are met.
  • Manage software maintenance service activities in conjunction with maintenance engineers.
  • Assist maintenance engineers in raising Problem Change Requests (PCRs) and rolling out new software releases.
  • Support factory-based engineers in resolving hardware and software problems and initiating necessary changes to meet performance and warranty requirements.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of UNIX / LINUX operating systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer peripherals (I/O devices, storage devices, printers, displays).
  • Advanced knowledge of networking, data transmission, and protocols, specifically TCP/IP.
