Position

HSBC Saudi Arabia provides investment banking services to a diverse range of corporate and institutional clients, including public and private companies, government agencies, and family businesses. The role holder will lead and manage the IT Infrastructure Delivery team, overseeing the Technology Operations strategy of HSBC Saudi Arabia. This includes providing ongoing support for distribution systems and data processing services, managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with SAB STS for Data Centre architecture, Network & Telecommunications, and Automation to ensure 24/7 availability, cost effectiveness, quality, and compliance with Group standards and audit recommendations. The role also includes managing the efficient operations of the Disaster Recovery/Backup Data Center.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the availability and operational continuity of all IT systems and services.
  • Provide necessary infrastructure for the development and implementation of new systems.
  • Manage ongoing support for live systems and the Backup Data Centre.
  • Provide 24/7 customer support through an efficient Help Desk.
  • Collaborate with various Business/Functional Heads to understand specific IT requirements.
  • Interact with external vendors and manage vendor relationships.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and provide updates to regional and global counterparts.

Leadership & Teamwork:

  • Communicate a clear vision for the Information Technology Department aligned with HSBC's goals.
  • Lead and develop the leadership team to enhance talent retention and succession planning.
  • Encourage cross-country and cross-business teamwork to foster an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent required.
  • Master’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • 8 to 14 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
  • Prior experience in the banking sector within the region with a strong focus on Information Technology Development is preferred.
