As a Head of Data Science (Finance), you will lead advanced analytics and data science initiatives within the Commercial Finance function, enabling smarter commercial decisions and client growth. This role requires close collaboration with Commercial, Analytics, and Finance teams to translate problem statements into analytical frameworks and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions across pricing, product, and sales effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end problem solving: frame business problems, deep dive into data, build analytical models, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Drive advanced analytics and data science use cases including:
- Client performance diagnostics and opportunity sizing
- Pricing, packaging, and monetization optimization
- Sales productivity and effectiveness analytics
- Cohort, behavioral, and revenue analysis
- Work closely with the Monetization team to evaluate pricing and product initiatives using data and experimentation.
- Lead the evolution of analytical tools and frameworks to adapt to market conditions.
- Maintain high standards for data quality and analytical rigor.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc deep dives and client engagements requiring advanced analytics.
- Deliver analytical outputs (models, dashboards, insights) for Finance and Strategy decision-making.
Desired Qualifications:
- 10+ years of work experience in Data Science or Analytics.
- Master’s or PhD preferred but not essential.
- Team management experience in a fast-paced, impact-oriented organization.
- SQL and Tableau knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to create presentations that tell a storyline for Executive audiences.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail in identifying data quality issues.
- Fluency in English.
