The Head of Data Science (Finance) will lead advanced analytics and data science initiatives within the Commercial Finance function, enabling smarter commercial decisions, client growth, and monetization outcomes. This role involves partnering closely with Commercial, Analytics, and Finance teams to understand problem statements, translate them into analytical frameworks, and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions across pricing, product, and sales effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frame business problems, conduct data analysis, build analytical models, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Drive advanced analytics and data science use cases including client performance diagnostics, pricing optimization, and sales effectiveness analytics.
- Collaborate with the Monetization team to evaluate pricing and product initiatives using data and experimentation.
- Develop analytical tools and frameworks that adapt to market conditions.
- Ensure data quality and analytical rigor, proactively identifying inconsistencies and risks.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc deep dives and client engagements requiring advanced analytics.
- Deliver analytical outputs, such as models, dashboards, and insights, to support broader Finance and Strategy decision-making.
Desired Qualifications:
- 10+ years of work experience in Data Science or Analytics.
- Master’s/PhD preferred but not essential.
- Team management experience in a fast-paced, impact-oriented organization.
- Knowledge of SQL and Tableau is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical content to diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail, with an ability to identify data quality issues.
- Fluency in English.
