Who You Are
You are an accomplished Head of Engineering with extensive experience in leading engineering teams and driving innovation. You possess a strategic vision for building scalable and robust systems that support our AI-powered solutions. Your expertise includes managing end-to-end engineering projects, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and driving the adoption of best practices. As the Head of Engineering at LocAI, you will lead our engineering teams, oversee the development and deployment of our AI solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve our ambitious goals.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage LocAI's engineering teams, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and support to drive high performance and innovation.
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy, aligning with the company's goals and vision for delivering cutting-edge AI solutions.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering projects, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product, AI/ML, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of AI-driven solutions and meet customer requirements.
- Stay at the forefront of engineering best practices and emerging technologies, incorporating them into our development processes.
- Drive innovation by exploring new approaches to system architecture, software development, and infrastructure management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence within the engineering teams.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our AI solutions, maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing successful projects and teams.
- Expertise in software architecture, system design, and agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and experience with cloud-native technologies and platforms.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating AI-powered components into complex systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the latest trends and advancements in engineering and AI.
