About the Role
The Chapter Lead role is essential to ensure people excellence, standards, and maturity across the chapter while enabling high-performance teams to deliver strategic outcomes. This position balances people leadership, capability development, and governance, without directly owning day-to-day delivery. The Chapter Lead governs and monitors multiple programs/projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while ensuring full adoption of governance and delivery frameworks, controls, and processes. The role involves direct collaboration with all functions of the office (Value Management, Integration & Governance), CPMO Delivery Teams (Tech/Non-Tech), and Business to guarantee the successful execution of programs/projects.

Key Responsibilities
1. People & Capability Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to enhance professional capabilities.
- Take ownership of skills development, mentoring, and succession planning within the team.
- Foster a strong culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Strategic Alignment & Governance
- Align team capabilities with enterprise strategy, roadmap, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with project managers to ensure appropriate skills are deployed to the right initiatives.
- Support risk management, compliance, and audit requirements within the team domain.
- Ensure adherence of programs/projects to governance, including processes, reporting, and governance committees.
- Monitor CPMO standards and controls on programs/projects, including progress against plan, budget, vendor costs, and RAID (risks, issues, assumptions & dependencies).
- Collaborate closely with project managers to resolve issues and manage escalations.
- Propose best practices for efficient management principles, processes, tools, and templates that are continuously maintained.
3. Demand & Capacity Management
- Provide visibility into team capacity, skills mix, constraints, and future capacity planning.
- Optimize resource utilization across initiatives while maintaining quality and sustainability.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders regarding capability maturity and delivery direction.
- Act as the single point of contact for the latest delivery position.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of individual projects/programs to ensure accurate visibility to senior management.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- University Degree in Technology, Management, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in the relevant capability domain.
- Proven experience leading specialist teams.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating in agile/product-based environments.
- Ability to influence stakeholders without direct delivery ownership.
Skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple programs with interdependencies and proactively resolve issues.
- Experience managing various project management delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Demonstrated experience of working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities and experience working with senior management.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, collaborate, and go the extra mile, exhibiting a high level of integrity while handling confidential information appropriately.
- Experience supervising, coaching, and developing team members.
