Your primary responsibility will be to strengthen the financial performance of our Kuwait business, ensuring robust financial governance and transparency while evolving the finance agenda towards deeper performance management and commercial decision support. You will be based at the head office in Salmiya, with direct reporting to the Finance Director in Dubai and a dotted line to the local GM of the company in Kuwait. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with the finance team in our local partner company and the Senior Finance Manager overseeing our Rest of Markets business cluster.

How You Will Make an Impact
In this role, you will drive the finance agenda for the Kuwait business. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Owning the management and presentation of the JV Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
  • Leading monthly closing and financial forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency of business performance.
  • Ensuring accurate financial reflection of Trade and Marketing investments, including BDA, TPR, returns, and campaign discounts within existing ERP systems.
  • Driving the commercial performance dialogue by developing reporting, profitability analysis, and financial insights to support better business decisions.
  • Developing greater transparency of profitability across the business, with deeper understanding of performance across channels, customers, and SKUs.
  • Ensuring high-quality statutory reporting in accordance with international laws and regulations (i.e., IFRS) and the company’s guidelines to relevant stakeholders.
  • Owning and driving Net Working Capital performance, including oversight of credit controlling activities.
  • Acting as the key finance interface across the company, the local JV partner, and external and internal auditors, ensuring alignment and clarity on financial and technical accounting matters.

This broad role encompasses responsibility for core finance processes such as the consolidation of monthly results and financial forecasts, as well as analysis and preparation of materials for the Kuwait Leadership Team. A significant aspect of your role will involve acting as a finance business partner to the commercial team in Kuwait, providing transparency into our performance and assisting the team in driving our business forward.

What Will Make You Successful
You will hold a degree in Economics, Finance, or Management Accounting, along with over 5 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably within Accounting and/or as a finance analyst/business partner. As the custodian of both our accounting and performance management agendas, you will need the skills and appetite to drive both areas effectively.

To excel in this role, you must be independent and thrive in an environment that demands strong financial competencies. You are result-oriented and enjoy tackling challenges that encourage collaboration across the organization.
