We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Information Security and Data Protection to join our Technology Department in Dubai. This onsite leadership role will report directly to the Group Chief Technology Officer and will have full oversight of our Cyber Security Engineering team.
This role is responsible for the protection of the firm's systems and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of client and employee data. The position leads the implementation and management of secure systems, driving continuous improvement through a combination of Agile and ITIL best practices. We’re looking for a senior technologist with deep engineering knowledge, strong business acumen, highly developed people and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the Information Security and Data Protection strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Protect against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction of data.
- Lead continuous monitoring and improvement of information security management practices.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-Level stakeholders and internal teams across departments.
- Champion security-first thinking across various departments.
- Oversee security architecture and ensure cloud-based platforms are protected and resilient.
- Support and manage third-party penetration tests, security audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Implement InfoSec governance standards and instill a strong security awareness culture company-wide.
- Conduct vendor assessments and manage third-party suppliers effectively.
- Mentor teams, elevate standards, and foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- Experience: 10+ years in cybersecurity leadership roles (CISO, Security Architect, Security Consultant). Proven success in financial services or fintech is essential.
- Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of security architecture for scalable cloud environments; proficiency with cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, and secure coding methodologies; familiarity with security tools and vulnerability assessment platforms; understanding of compliance and data protection regulations.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership and collaborative mindset; excellent communication skills; high emotional intelligence; effective time management skills; respected mentor and influencer.
